Around Oneroa in 48 hours – Two Day Tramp

This two day tramp around the Oneroa coastline is a great way to get to know the Hauraki Gulf.

The guide is not only knowledgeable, he has a very dry sense of humour and has some great stories to tell.

You have a choice, you can do both days and camp overnight, do both days and go home at night or book accommodation and stay over on Waiheke if you are coming from off-island. The first day will be a shortish tramp of three or so hours and the second day will be around five hours long.

You can carry everything yourself if you like but we will be able to transport your bags/tents to a spot close to where you will be camping.

What to bring with you: food for breakfast and lunches, water, a torch and whatever else you need personally.

We will provide a bbq evening meal and a portaloo (torch will come in handy then!)

Thursday 3 November, meeting at Matiatia ferry terminal 10am. If you are coming from Auckland take the 9am ferry. As part of this stretch is through farm land dogs are not allowed on the first day of this walk. If you are coming for both days please, no dogs.

Friday 4 November, if you have not camped overnight or are only doing the second day of this walk meet down in Te Wharau Bay 10am. Entrance to the track is off Walter Frank Road, Park Point and it is about a 15 minute walk down to the beach. Dogs are allowed on day two.

Ends back at Matiatia ferry terminal.  Book now.
