Rorohara Concerto 1 (Glowworms)

SORRY FULLY BOOKED. Glowworms were only discovered on Rorohara a few months ago. Walk through hidden glades and ford small streams to reach this twinkling display. You will need to bring a torch or headlamp and be pretty steady on your feet.
This is the first walk in a series on three, available only during the festival. Owner Bruce Plested will be a guest guide.
Walks on Rorohara showcase Bruce and his team’s ongoing conservation work which is extensive. It  is a rare opportunity to see this thoughtful guardianship of the environment. Two daytime walks Rorohara Concerto 2 (1997) and 3 (Finale) will be on the last weekend of the festival.

Kauri Die-Back warning: there are some beautiful old kauri trees on Rorohara which need to be protected. Please make sure your walking shoes are thoroughly cleaned before coming and spray will be provided at the outset of the walk, thank you.
