SORRY FULLY BOOKED This is the Waiheke Local Board’s next big thing. Walking track will be created from Te Matuku to Orapiu; following the coast through Te Matuku Marine Reserve, climbing over the ridge and up to some large, very old trees, before emerging back onto the road for views into the bay. The track isn’t built yet so this is a sneak preview of the proposed route. Tough going but rewarding for those who are up to it.
Bring a packed lunch.
Date and Start Time: Saturday 27 October, 12.30pm
Duration: 4 hours
Start Location: Te Matuku stockyard, just past Passage Rock (also a special bus from Matiatia, leaving 11.40am, $20 return)
Ferry: 11am ferry
