New to the festival this year is ‘The Great Waiheke Treasure Quest’. If you love quizzes and puzzles you will love this as it will really test your powers of deduction. Enjoy exploring the network of public walkways and roaming around the island as you follow the clues to treasures and, if your answers are correct, be in to win the ultimate prize.
‘Walk the island for your pleasure
And you could find some hidden treasure
But take the time to sit and wait
Answers are handed on a plate’
The Quest is open to individuals, families, teams and groups of all kinds. Challenge your friends, rival groups and teams, collect your forms from the start point at the Waiheke Island i-SITE Visitor Centre. Each entry to the Quest is $20 all proceeds going to the Hauraki Gulf Conservation Trust to maintain and preserve the natural environment, including planting and revegetation, in and around the Hauraki Gulf. You can purchase as many entries as you like! Return your completed Quest forms to the start point. There will be a draw of all correct answers and winners will be notified by email/phone and results published in local newspapers.
The Quest can be completed over the course of the festival, a weekend or a day (if you are really fast or have a lot of team members!).
The TREASURE has been hidden by the Waiheke Business Women’s Group and is a cornucopia of Waiheke delights and cash!
