The dates for the 2018 Waiheke Walking Festival have been confirmed. Be sure to mark Saturday 17 – Sunday 25 November on the calendar now!

We have been working hard on developing the 2018 Festival programme. As usual there will be plenty on offer for all abilities and ages including new walks, exclusive-access walks and the crowd favourites that everyone has come to love and enjoy.

The 2018 Festival programme will be released in August and registrations for the general public will open 1st October.

New Major Sponsor

Waiheke Walking Festival is very proud to announce Treescape® has signed up to become one of our major sponsors this year.

This time last year, Treescape® was awarded all of the Auckland Councils’ regional contracts for Arboriculture (tree maintenance including powerline works) and two regional contracts for Ecological Services (restoration, biodiversity, and pest control), including activity on Waiheke Island.

The Waiheke Walking Festival together with the support of Treescape®, looks forward to delivering another fantastic event full of wonderful walks on the island.

The Festival needs more volunteers and we are calling on you to help if you can! We could not deliver this amazing free event if it wasn’t for our valuable network of volunteers.

Join us on our monthly walks and learning a little more about us and what this role entails.

Volunteer training will commence in early Spring. It is really fun and rewarding and a great way to make sure you experience the walks on your wish list.

You can register your interest by emailing info@waihekewalkingfestival.org or give Denise a call on 0210717213 to find out a bit more.

Don’t miss out on your favourite walks this year. By becoming a Friend of the Festival & providing us with much needed support we would like to say thanks by giving you:

  • Early bird registrations before they open to the general public
  • Extra registrations – up to 10 x walk registrations per member
  • A ticket to the Festival Finale
  • That feel good factor of supporting such a fantastic event 🙂

This programme is limited to 100 memberships ONLY so get in quick.

Happy walking everyone, we look forward to seeing you on the walking tracks.
