2016 dates now confirmed 🙂

Denise WhitfieldGosh, where has the time gone since the end of such a wonderful event, thank you to all of you for making it another incredible success with record numbers and the best feedback yet 🙂 We had 2300+ registrations this year, up 15% on last year which is awesome!

Dates for 2016 Confirmed: Saturday 19th November – Sunday 27th November

We know you all like to get your leave organised, travel arrangements made, friends corralled etc, so after doing some long range weather research we have confirmed the 2016 dates – perfect for those pre-Christmas family and friends catch ups before things get too crazy 🙂 Planning is already underway and we are looking forward to another amazing event!

Tell us what you think – help us with a survey

We would love to involve even more participants, I know we disappoint many of you when walks book out so quickly. So please do let us know if you have any great ideas for how we can do this without making the walks too much bigger – perhaps some self guided walks with special guests dotted along the path? For those of you who have participated in other walking festivals we would love to hear ideas that may work for us.

And on that note, we have put together a five minute survey that we would love you to please complete to help us to keep getting better – we have received lots of great feedback but we also need to hear some of the not-so-good stuff if we are to improve. There are two great Macpac prizes up for grabs – one for the most helpful recommendation and a general prize for a random respondent 🙂 The survey is open until Sunday 3rd January and we will announce the winners on Monday 4th January, fill the survey in now before you head away for your well deserved break 🙂

Oxfam Trailwalker 2-3 April 2016 – I know many of you are motivated to get out and have more walking adventures after the Waiheke Walking Festival, the Oxfam Trailwalker event is the perfect next step, in a new location in 2016, Whakatane, and the introduction of a 50km option makes it even more appealing for many. See below for a great special on the registration price.

I won’t rattle on as I know this is a really busy time for us all, but I would like to wish you all a very happy and safe festive season full of love, laughter and joy. Thank you for making this event so special and I will look forward to seeing you all again next year – yes, that’s right, you are stuck with me and my emails once again 😉

Best wishes to all of you,
Denise Whitfield
