This walk will have you viewing land and sea from spots very few have been, including the local boaties marker – Thumb Point. Bring your togs and an easy picnic for some mid-walk play time, and finish the walk with a late lunch at Man O’ War Vineyard Tasting Room.
Optional late lunch at Man O’ War for $30pp including a glass of rosé.
Optional return charter bus available for $35pp.

Please note:Â The charter bus booking includes drop-off at the start of the walk, Â and departs from Man O’ War after lunch. You can book the bus without the lunch, but the bus does not depart Man O’ War until after lunch.
Note: If travelling from Auckland city, you’ll need to catch the 7.45am ferry.

Two-way charter bus from Matiatia to Stony Batter via Oneroa, Surdale, Ostend and Onetangi for walk start. The bus will depart Man O'War at 15:30 via the usual stops back to Matiatia. Please be aware that even if you haven't booked the optional lunch at Man O'War, there will be 1hr15mins of time to enjoy a BYO picnic on the shores of Man O'War Bay or purchase a glass of wine at Man O'War Tasting Room. Please note you must pre-purchase the Man O'War Late Lunch in advance.
