Overview

Stunning hike through private land and the site of the released kiwi, traversing pristine bush, wetlands, and coastal farmland.

With the kind permission of property owners Kirstie and Hinrich, the walk will be guided by Save The Kiwi experts. Te Korowai o Waiheke will also be there to answer any questions about the stoat trapping efforts on the island, that have made the introduction of kiwi a possibility. The price includes a donation to Save The Kiwi.

The walk is graded 6 out of 10, which means that the route can include unformed tracks, possibly narrow or muddy stretches and steep sections. Please choose walks that you are comfortable with, and if booking for others, check with them too. Thanks

Please arrive well-hydrated and bring a large bottle of water to drink en-route. Dehydration can seriously impact your health and enjoyment, particularly in hot and sunny conditions.
