This Privacy Policy sets out how Waiheke Walking Trust (WWT, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and discloses your personal information.

The information is used to contact you, when necessary, with regards to Waiheke Walking Festival news and offers; to recruit and respond to volunteer enquiries or provide information about available opportunities; and to contact you in response to general enquiries.

We will not sell, trade, rent or share your contact and personal information to others without obtaining your consent, unless required to do so by law.

We use encryption, physical access security and other applicable security systems and our online payment provider (Stripe) complies with the payment card industry data security standard. Our website uses the industry standard security protocol Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to encode sensitive information. We recommend you take appropriate security precautions when accessing our website via public Wi-Fi networks or shared computers.

We also automatically collect information about your visit to our website through the use of Google Analytics which collects non-personally identifiable data to understand how you use our website. Examples of information we may collect using Google Analytics include information about your visit such as the information you viewed or searched for, the length of your visit and the pages that you visited. We do not use tracking technologies or cookies that create user profiles, however we may use some aggregated information when talking to funding partners.

You can request that we provide access to the personal information we have collected about you at any time. There are certain exemptions which may apply to, or otherwise prevent us from providing you with, your information. You can also request us to correct such personal information. We will endeavour to provide the information within 14 days.

If you are photographed, filmed or taped whilst attending a WWF event, you consent to WWT or third parties appointed by the WWT photographing, filming and taping you. WWT or third parties appointed by WWT can broadcast, publish, license and use any photographs, film, recordings and images of you without compensation. WWT, the third parties and anyone acquiring from them a right to use the material are not liable to you in any way for its use. Such images will only be used for promulgating future events and celebrating current festivals.
