Overview
A fabulous walk from coast to coast, showcasing the beauty of Waiheke, led by our fabulous local gym instructor, Nydia Bean.

Beginning at the Omiha Memorial Hall in Rocky Bay, wander along the shores of Whakanewha and up and across through the Regional Park, the Cascades loop, up to Pukeatua Reserve, and down Trig Hill Road with a ramble through Onetangi on the way down to the beach. This is a fabulous classic Waiheke walk, one of the originals, which now showcases some of the 100km Te Ara Hura track.

This walk is graded 6 out of 10. This means the route can include unformed tracks, possibly narrow or muddy stretches and steep sections. Please choose walks you are comfortable with and if you are booking for others, check with them too. Thanks.

This one way walk is on the public bus route, so we recommend bussing to the start and from the finish, or leave your car in Onetangi and catch the bus back to the Rocky Bay turn off, and change to the Rocky Bay bus to get to the start.
