Overview
A private land stunner, and Festival favourite from 2022. Come join us on this very special walk, and share time with your BYO picnic afterwards.

Begin at Rocky Bay and follow through the gorgeous Whakanewha Regional Park, followed by the opportunity to walk private tracks available only for this Festival, through the kindness of 2 property owners at Woodside Bay. Bring your own picnic and finish with a rest and lunch at Heriot Grove.  This is a faster-paced walk so a good level of fitness is required.

A charter bus is included in the price, and will return you via Rocky Bay (if you leave your car there) and back to Matiatia via Ostend, Surfdale and Oneroa.

Price also includes our premium walk fee of $15 and GST.

This walk is graded 6 out of 10. This means the route can include unformed tracks, possibly narrow or muddy stretches and steep sections. Please choose walks you are comfortable with and if you are booking for others, check with them too. Thanks.
