Overview
A unique opportunity to go for a stunning hike and learn more about our native birds and wildlife.

Walk with the amazing team from Te Korowai o Waiheke as they tell us about the work to make Waiheke predator free. You’ll learn how to do the 5-minute bird count from passionate birder Charlie Thomas, as well as learning the bird calls, and what to look out for as we venture through our wonderful bush and beautiful coastal tracks of Te Whau peninsula and Kuakarau Reserve. Hear about the success of the stoat eradication programs from knowledgable Frank Lepera, whilst taking in the spectacular views.

This walk is grade 7 and includes lots of hills and some steep, narrow and possibly muddy bits. Great for families, but we think best for children over 7.
