Be guided by long-time supporter, friend and Patron of the Festival Bruce Plested as you explore this stunning piece of coastal land. This walk will finish in time for you to join the Festival Finale on the beach at Rarowhara, and includes a couple of drink tokens and light snacks!
Please note, only Patrons and Friends of the Festival can book this particular walk, but it is also available on Saturday 28th, Sunday 29th October, and Saturday 4th November for all Festival walkers to book.
Cost includes premium walk fee of $15 plus GST, Finalé ticket, and one-way bus to Wairua from Matiatia ferry, stopping at Oneroa, Surfdale and Ostend and Onetangi Hall. For locals and drivers, please park near Onetangi Hall or the Rarowhara driveway and jump on the bus. There is no return bus to Wairua.
This walk is graded 7 out of 10. This means the route has a lot of unformed tracks, possibly narrow or muddy stretches and steep sections. Please choose walks you are comfortable with and if you are booking for others, check with them too. Thanks.
