Overview
This walk started in 2020 and now includes stories from eight amazing locals. And now it's on an app! Join us we'll show you how to download the app, bring your own earbuds or headset, and be swept away by their stories as you walk around the historic Rangihoua area.
Stories from early Māori settlement told by Paul Monin, to modern history and the stars. Told and read by locals including Paul Monin, Colin Gordon, Malcolm Philcox, Nalayino Brito, Sue Fitchett, Ivan Kitson, Flynn Washington, and Gary Wilton.
Search for Walk Waiheke on your App Store for Apple, or Play Store for Android. Download and enjoy. Bring your own device, and earbuds or headset.
The other walks available on the app are:
Oneroa to Palm Beach
Palm Beach to Onetangi
The Coast to Coast Walk – from Rocky Bay to Onetangi

The new app development was kindly funded by the Patrons of the Waiheke Walking Trust and is free.

This walk is graded 6 out of 10. This means the route can include unformed tracks, possibly narrow or muddy stretches and steep sections. Please choose walks you are comfortable with and if you are booking for others, check with them too. Thank you.
