One of our most popular walks with a brand new twist. This year Allpress Olive Groves will host you at their new tasting room at the end of the walk. Join passionate Olive Grower Anne Stanimiroff on this stunning walk from the Matiatia foreshore (by the ferry), along the beautiful coastal trail, and then exploring three of the Allpress working olive groves (going through their amazing private properties) at the west end of the island. The walk traverses the Forest and Bird Reserve Atawhai Whenua, and will include a pruning demonstration, and planting advice and finish with an olive oil tasting.
Cost includes walk, olive oil tasting and tour, $15 premium walk fee and GST.
This walk is graded 6 out of 10. This means the route can include unformed tracks, possibly narrow or muddy stretches and some steep sections. Please choose walks you are comfortable with and if you are booking for others, check with them too. Thanks.
