Day 2 –Â
– Putiki Bay to Carsons Road
Experience the southern shores and experience some of the real Waiheke heading toward Rangihoua. Take on Okoka Bay hills and Te Whau coastal track and experience breathtakingly beautiful views in all directions, expect a little coastal scramble, before finishing your day at Batch Winery for a well deserved glass of wine and shared platters.
Day 3 –
Carsons Road to Man o War
Ascend through the fabulous Whakanewha Regional Park to Trig Hill, and then begin the tougher bush section of Te Ara Hura, with absolutely spectacular views and lots of ups and downs through Awaawaroa and Passage Rock. Today includes the notorious “rope-assisted climb”.
Day 4 – Â
– Man o War to Postage Stamp Wines, Onetangi
This is the eastern section which begins with stunning views as you venture north, taking in plenty of coastal roads and passing through Man O’ War Bay, before continuing on this stunning old farm road and then be treated to a tour as we cross private land through Rarowhara, Pie Melon Bay, and down to Onetangi Beach. Celebrate the days walk finish at Postage Stamp Wines (our much loved Major Sponsor) for a sumptuous wine tasting and shared platters.
Day 5 –Â
– Postage Stamp Wines to Matiatia Wharf
Starting at Postage Stamp Wines heading down to the white sands of Onetangi beach, traversing the magnificent northern reserves of Palm Beach and Oneroa. Exploring stunning coastal beaches through several regenerating reserves on the stunning north coast.
What an incredible opportunity – grab your friends and get ready for five days of challenging fun!
